Day 1:

Arrive in Tokyo on your scheduled flight.

You will be met on arrival by our transfer staff and taken to your Tokyo hotel.

We will begin our trip with a welcome dinner at a local gourmet restaurant!

Day 2:

Breakfast at your hotel 

Meet our local Tokyo guide who will take you on a full-day guided tour

Day 3:

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before exploring the Tokyo you choose with guidance from your travel consultant and local guide

Transfer to Kyoto on the first-class car of the shinkansen (high-speed bullet train)

Day 5:

After breakfast, you will enjoy a full-day tour in Kyoto. Highlights include a special visit to the Imperial Palace and dining with a beautiful Kyoto Geisha. We will also visit a Kyoto housewife for a Japanese home cooking demonstration.

Day 6:

Breakfast at your hotel 

Explore Kyoto or Nara with suggestions from your travel consultant and local guide.

You will have the option to visit the heart of Japanese Buddhism on the mountain of Koya-san and experience the rich heritage of Japanese traditional monastic life and exquisite vegan cuisine.

Day 7:

Breakfast at your hotel

You will be taken on a morning tour of Osaka with our local guide.

Highlight: Lunch at a celebrated restaurant in Osaka, Japan’s Good Cooking Capital

Travel to Shizuoka Mt. Fuji resort

 Relax in an open-air hot spring bath before your multi-course kaiseki dinner featuring traditional regional specialties

Day 8:

Breakfast at your hotel

You will have the option to take part in a tea-tasting session to start off the day (please pay locally for this)

On our journey back to Tokyo we will spend some time sightseeing around Japan’s most famous mountain

Day 9:

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a final day in Tokyo at your leisure.

Speak with your travel consultant for ideas on where best to spend your last day.
