Unique Luxury Tours was founded by Darina Slattery, an Irish-born global explorer. She grew up in a quaint country house hotel (@station house hotel) which her family still own after almost 40 years. She always yearned for something different. After leaving her roots in 1996, Darina spent most of her early years in Japan ..... mastering the Japanese language, working for a Japanese company, and exploring the Asian continent both as a back-packer (back then) and a luxury high flyer (today). Her journeys over these past 30 years have brought her; sleeping in rustic Thai beach huts, spending weeks trekking the Nepalese Himalayas, yoga retreats in northern India, living with zen monks in Kyoto, following the footsteps of the Inca Trail in Peru, yacht hopping in Capri, and discovering the islands in the Pacific. Her life has been more than colourful enough to ensure her clients get deep and meaningful experiences, not to mention the know-how when joining her voyages. Her motto today is to get away when needed and to do it in style. We deserve it!
