Travel has been my passion my entire life and I have been lucky enough to live my dreams. This has been helped by the fact I have lived in 5 countries, South Africa, UK, Italy, Australia, and America. I now live between London and South Africa. I have traveled extensively due to my husband, Murray’s international business and our mutual curiosity about the world.

I have visited India both as a tourist, then on business regularly with my daughter Siena. We have made wonderful warm, generous and hospitable friends over the years in this most exciting and unique country.

Travel makes me feel more alive, it is like falling in love every time I go somewhere new. Travel has made my life so much richer and helps remind me that we live in the most amazing, vibrant, complex and fascinating world. I have lived my life in the design world, it is my hobby, my passion, my great interest, and my career.

Elizabeth Morrison

Elizabeth Morrison

My India story began nearly two decades ago when my Scottish-born husband introduced me to the wonders of Incredible India. He had spent many happy years working and playing polo in Delhi, and on our first joint trip to India, he proposed at the romantic Taj Mahal, a magnificent monument dedicated to love.

My story is one of passion for creativity, beauty and an admiration for the incredible artisans I now work with. My adventures in India came after another adventure that took me to the Middle East. I had been working at a global Advertising Agency in London when I was asked to move to the UAE and be part of a strategy team to launch BBC Arabic Service. Two years later, a successful televised news channel was launched and subsequently Persian service in 2009 across Iran, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. It's these adventures that introduced me to the most remarkable people scattered around the world.

You'll Be Staying Here

Imperial Hotel New Delhi

Imperial Hotel New Delhi

Two Nights

This white-pillared colonial building was constructed as an ode to India’s independence and has been transformed into an award-winning heritage hotel. It was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens when he redesigned Delhi in 1933. The Imperial is located in Janpath, the city’s main business and shopping area. The building is a mixture of Victorian and old colonial styles, creating the aura of a 19th century English manor, with an extensive collection of art.

This exceptional old, colonial hotel is undoubtedly Delhi’s finest hotel. The rooms overlook beautiful gardens. There is also a huge new Imperial spa inspired by Moghul-influenced architecture if you want a massage to overcome jet lag.

The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur

The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur

Three Nights

Experience a sincerely warm and most special welcome when you stay at Elizabeth’s favourite hotel in India, the Oberoi Rajvilas Jaipur. Spread over 32 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, with traditional architecture, flaming mashaal torches and reflection pools.

Exquisite accommodation, including luxury tents inspired by the era of Maharajas, fine restaurants serving authentic Rajasthani and international cuisines,  all served with their unique standards of hospitality. The hotel represents the perfect setting for the holiday of a lifetime at the best 5 star luxury hotel in Jaipur.

RAAS Chhatrasagar

RAAS Chhatrasagar

One Night

Legendary sporting parties with high tea and exotic dinners became a regular feature. RAAS took over Chhatra Sagar on April, 2019 and now will be known as RAAS Chhatrasagar. Adding on facilities like Heated Swimming Pool, World-class Spa, Yoga on request, Multi-cuisine restaurant with a Bar, Special / Private dining options and outdoor activities like Nature walks and Farm visits would be the key highlights of the guests’ experience.

Due to its location, surrounded by farmland and small villages it will be a chance to experience rural Rajasthan. It’s lovely to have sundowners gazing out on the 100-year-old dam.

RAAS Jodhphur

RAAS Jodhphur

Two Nights

RAAS is Jodhpur’s first boutique hotel - its signature look was born from the fusion of modern and ancient styles and the courtyard has become a tranquil haven away from the bustle of Jodhpur’s old town.

The hotel comprises four original buildings with three additional contemporary structures, influenced by and contributing to its cultural past as part of the Walled City. The magnificent pool, along with the staff quarters and guardhouse, makes a stunning entry to the hotel.

The whole complex is overlooked by Mehrangarh, an awe-inspiring 15th-century fort looming 400 feet above the Jodhpur skyline. When lit up in the evenings, the views are simply breathtaking and almost every room in the hotel enjoys the most spectacular view of the fort. N.B. you are situated in the heart of the Old City and will hear the prayer calls from the local mosque.

Taj Mahal Palace

Taj Mahal Palace

Two Nights

The Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai was established in 1903, this magnificent and iconic hotel resides in the heart of Mumbai. Art lovers will love the collection of paintings and artifacts everywhere. There is a marvelous blend of decorative styles from Belgian chandeliers to works of legendary Indian painters. I’m never bored in this hotel. There is always something exciting going on.

It is also an architectural wonder, combining Moorish, Oriental and Florentine styles. It is fun wandering the many corridors before settling into your room with its amazing views. The Iva spa is very famous and is surrounded by a swimming pool. It also offers Indian rejuvenation therapies and holistic healing treatments.
